Beskrivelse: The King's Rolls-Royce pulls up outside the main door to the Observatory where his escort, Commander Sir Charles Cust, is waiting. The camera is behind the doorway, throwing everything into silhouette. The King and Duke, in civilian clothes, are led out across the lawn to inspect a ship's bell covered by a small roof (like a bird table) and on to a site where the King, given a spade by the gardener, plants a tree in commemoration. The party walks past the tennis court, where the wingless fuselage of a BE2c is being used by two officers for flight training. The King and Duke get back into their car, the radiator grill of which can be clearly seen, and depart.
